I'd never visited Stonehenge before, but had seen some great images taken of the Milky Way rising above the stone circle, I thought I'd give it a shot, so I headed down there on a Saturday night, arrived around 9pm and then after a rather unnerving walk through some dark woods I came to the public footpath where you get a fantastic close up view of the stone circle. The first two images were shot at 11mm focal legth which is my wide angle lens which gives the feeling of the stones being far away. The images of the stones silhouetted against the sky were taken with a 50mm prime lens. The light on the stones in a couple of the images was light from the security guards torch! All images taken between 10pm and 11:30pm
